Question: what would you do in this situation?
my roommate (bill) keeps bringing this friend of his (bob) over to my apartment. When ever bob comes over he completely disrespects me buy his actions. I have a very playfully aggressive kitten (coffee) who me and my fiance (jay) are trying to teach that hands are not toys. Well when ever bill brings bob over bob will st on the couch and ruff house with my kitten, all the time me asking, “please don’t do that”, and, “if you want to play with him use a toy” and ETC. The whole time i talk hes saying “yea yea hes a kitten, im homing his skills” “aww but hes so cute”. What should i do about this situation. my fiance trys to help and picks the cat up and removes him, but im really thinking about moving out because i can’t handle my roommates stupid freaking friends. I cant afford it right now so what do i do to get these people to understand that its MY cat and if they want to play with coffee they need to do it in my guidelines?

Coffee’s play is rough naturally so all i can do about him is get him to attack toys instead of humans.
coffee is approx. 3 months old if it need to be known
bill doesnt care about the sitution

Question: Would You Feed Your Cat Diseased Meat?
According to “7 Scary Things You Didn’t Know about Your Pet’s Food” ( http://members.cox.net/maggieameanderings/2011-Feb-27.htm ) diseased meat, meat that’s been declared not fit for humans (because it’s cancerous, etc), is used to make cat food.

If you found out your pet’s food was made with diseased meat would you continue to feed it to your cat? Or would you figure the cooking process would get rid of whatever’s wrong with it?

Ummmm… slightly freaked out… that’s gross!!! But I’m sure it’s made ‘clean’ seeing as my cat’s fine although she doesn’t eat wet food anymore. But still, eeeewwwww!

Question: Besides dry/wet cat food, what foods would my cat be able to eat?
My cat, Noel, has a very sensitive stomach. When we first adopted him the foster agency provided a two month supply of food (Science Diet) which we used. I noticed that he got sick and vomited a lot (plus after researching Science diet and finding it to be gross) so we changed his food. He is now on an all-natural dry cat food with no by-products and does not get sick. Yet every time he eats wet cat food he does vomit. Is there any other kind of food (“human” food) I could feed him so as to provide a little variety in his diet?

He likes yogurt a lot but I try not to let him eat it as I’ve read about dairy being bad for cats.
I don’t really have a lot of meat around the house, as I’ve never really liked the taste, anything without meat you think he’d like though?

Most cats can eat anything like scraps. I’m not sure if your cat would be able to but you could try it. They normally like bologna and stuff like that. Sorry i’m not sure..hope that helped.

Question: Why would a kitten constantly be lifting her paws up and down & flexing her claws, in and out, in and out?
Is it normal? For example when she’s sitting on her bum, she’ll be lifting each paw up and down in turn and flexing her claws. Nervousness? Reflexology, lol? We took in the kitten yesterday because she was in our garden crying and tired and hungry and it was raining and she just looked totally miserable (when we found her two adult cats were trying to sneak up on her, don’t know what they’d have done to her?) Poor thing was bewildered, at one stage right out in the middle of the street, almost in a daze. Very thin too – think she might have been on the streets for weeks (we’re guessing an xmas gift that went wrong – stupid f****s who give pets as xmas “toys”) I’ve asked a few q’s in this section as we need to know certain things to help us deal with her correctly. Thanks.

its called kneading, they did it to their moms belly to stimulate the milk flow…. they’ll do it their whole life my cat did :) I noticed my one kitten whos mom died at birth, never kneads, so it’s definitely developed during feeding

Question: I would like help from some of my avatar friends!?
Dear Answerers,

You may know me, and you may not. I pretty much only answer webkinz questions and no matter what I only answer from the “Toys” section . I want to change my name from “dog lover” to something else because the name “dog lover” is too common.

Should I change my avatars name?
If you think so, I want it to sort of go along with the things I like which are:

Webkinz
Pocky Sticks (They are delicious Japanese Biscuit sticks dipped in chocolate.)
Dogs
Cats
Stuffed Animals (that still includes Webkinz)
Jamba Juice (My most favorite smoothie drink shop in the world!)

Ok, those are the things I like, I just want people’s opinion’s on if I should change my avatar’s name to something related to something I like (don’t worry dogs are included.) Or if I should keep my name the same.

I need your opinion!

Question: What “people foods” would be the worst for me to give to my pet cat?
Thx :)

-and yes, i know all peope foods in general arn’t good for cats, but she doesnt really like a cat treats and i want to reward her, seeing as im trying to train her :P

Answer:

Answer by Katherine
If you stick to only giving meat, you don’t have to worry about what is bad. Make sure it doesn’t have any sauces or spices. Some are fine, some are bad. But as I said, it’s easier if you keep it simple. There are some things that are particularly bad, but they are avoided if you just stick to plain meat.

No bones allowed.

Question: What would be a good tattoo idea for my cat?
my cat Jack has been apart of my life sense i was 3 years old, he has been through everything with me and my family and has always been more than just our cat. i will be turning 20 in June and Jack as you might have guessed has aged with me. The thought of losing him is unbearable, and i’ve always been against tattoos. but i really think i want to get something to remember him by and i feel a tattoo would be the best way

a few of my thoughts were: his paw print, a jack (like the toy “jacks”), or his birthday in roman numerals.

all these would be small and probably on my foot. any creative suggestions?!
mind you! im not a big fan of tats, so something large and extensive is def out of the question :P

All are cute ideas. I kinda like the small paw print on your foot best, because you have traveled a long way together.

Question: why would my cat need hypoallergenic cat food?
what type of allergies/problems do you think she has? the person i adopted her wasnt really sure (cat shelter, didnt know much background info) just that the cat “needed to eat the hypoallergenic cat food”. hmm.
right now she’s eating “royal canin HP (high protein) hypoallergenic” and quite frankly, the food is expensive as hell and a big piece of crap full of fillers and no actual meat except for “poultry fat”, and i am not satisfied with the product at ALL. i want to switch her to “blue buffalo basics” http://www.bluebuffalo.com/products/cats/basics-for-cats-turkey.shtml or another similar holistic cat food. it costs over 50 bucks for a small bag of that royal canin crap, the least i could do is get my moneys worth. i just don’t want to risk switching her food and having her get really sick. any suggestions???
