Question: A very easy question, please help, easy points?
Ok this is my story

ever since I was a kid I wanted a puppy. There is a store near my house called “Puppy City” where puppies are sold. I went there almost everyday and looked at the puppys in the store but I never went inside the store.
One day when I was 7 I went inside for the first time to look for a puppy that I wanted with my mom. My mom told me that maybe my dad would buy me one. The next day I got sick and pretty much almost died. I was rushed to the hospital. I found out that I had severe allergies on dogs and cats fur. So then I started getting the allergy shots and after 2 years of it my allergies on dogs and cats fur was almost gone. I was surprised after I got checked, but I stil had a little allergy on them. So I looked up dogs that probably wont affect my allergies. I found the maltese because its small, and I cant have a dog over the “toy” section (according to my mom” and the maltese will only affect allergies if its a lot. But I found out that it wont affect me. I asked my mom and she said to ask my dad. I asked my dad and a few yells lator I knew I couldn’t get one. I tried protesting but that didn’t work either. I even wrote a 7 page persuasive letter to my dad.
Also: please don’t tell me to wait till I get my own home because I wont have as much of fun experience than i would if I got a puppy when I was a kid.
please help!

Question: Cat Canned Food Question?
Ok so there has been a set back. Money is SUPER tight right now and will be for about a month. I am out of catfood and cannot afford to buy the top of the line food for my kittys this time. I noticed that 9 lives has a “Growing Years Food” for ages 0-3 which is what my 2 cats fall between. Could I feed them that and moist food until I get back on my feet or should I feed them Whiskas or something like that. Purina maybe? Also, what canned food can I get from the grocery store that I can feed them that is pretty good. Please remember this is only until I can get back on my feet. Thanks in advance.

Friskies or Meow mix seems to be good at my house, the cats like it. They also like Whiskas too, the fish one, not the meat. And some wet, canned food, like 9 lives, or friskies is good, but do not give them too much of it. I give my cats canned food every other day. Good luck.

Question: Question about cat food…?
I have a two year old cat who eats The Goodlife Recipe dry cat food, some of the same treats, and that’s it. She’s always hungry for it and everything, but I want to try something different. I know people make dog biscuits all the time, but what can I make for the cat?

We have her on natural/organic food and would like to keep it that way since we’ve had her for three weeks and she’s been eating natural for two weeks and is now used to it and likes it. I know that she would love something with cream or some kind of dough cookie thing, but I don’t want to feed her anything unnatural and I don’t want to just feed her “human food”…and I never will (bad habit to get into!!)

Please if you have any ideas or websites or something let me know!

Really the best thing for a healthy cat is cat food. It’s balanced to have the correct vitamins and nutrients a cat needs. One though that really should not be fed to a cat is fish, it’s actually rather toxic to them and can contribute to and cause urine crystals which is a serious problem for cats.

If it were me I would stick to chicken (or anything but fish) based cat food. And once you find something that works for both you and the cat stick to it. While we enjoy variety in our diets cats don’t. Changing their diet too often can upset their stomach and lead to IBS.

Question: Question about economics?
I’m taking a micro class and I’m so confused by this question: “What type of relationship would you expect between the following [easy examples like sales of hot dogs and price of hot dogs. Obviously inverse relationship. As one goes down the other goes up. But look at this example]
(d) Toothbrush sales and sales of cat food.”

What!?!? How do those have any kind of relationship? Are the toothbrushes in the same aisle as the cat food? Are we brushing our cat’s teeth?? I just don’t see any good answer for this question. Help please!
That’s what I would say normally. But now that I’m looking more closely at my book, I’m seeing that there is such a thing as an independent relationship. I think that’s the answer they’re looking for. As the sales of toothbrushes go up, the sales of cat food may go up, down, or stay the same. One doesn’t affect the other. That’s economics though. In the world of grocery stores, if they put the two in the same aisle, and I have a cat, I may pick up both just beause they’re there :-)
haha. Kelly, you’re talking macro now I think. Maybe you should be an economist!

Lol. Maybe because to the rest of the world those two things are luxuries? It is also said in the US when you go in to buy a gallon of milk your total purchase ends up being about 24 to 27 dollars.
Just yesterday I went in the store to buy JUST baby red potatoes and came out with a can of cat food, toilet paper, dish soap, and the potatoes. Is this the kind of correlation analysis you are looking for?
But I can’t see how the price is effected when one buys cat food, and the price of toothbrushes are effected. Unless this is Wall-mart , where everything comes from China. Then the more one buys the over all prices are supposed to go down. Even though studies have been found that once wall-mart eliminates its competition their prices generally go up.

Question: Question about kitty food?
I’m feeding my kitten (about 6 months old) Purina Kitten Chow. I was wondering if I should continue feeding her Purina Cat Chow? I have heard that a lot of cat foods are just “junk food” for cats, and I was wondering if that particular kind is considered that?
Okay… well, in the area that I live in, and going by my income level… the best food that the local store carries is Iams… I have heard that is good. Any thoughts?

We have used purina for years, the cats and kittens have not had any troubles with it.

Question: This question is for those who have pets?
I have been searching all over for a good qualitied grain free dog food and cat food. I have heard that it is better to not feed your cat dry food. but that is all my cats will eat. Anyway, after searching the net I have come across a food that I ordered for my doggies and kitties. I want to know from you if I made a good choice in getting this food for my doggies and the food for my kitties?

The dog food that I got is called “wellness Core” and the cat food I got is called “wellness complete health salmon dry cat food”

Did I make a smart choice on this one or what? If so, what would you recommend? Please help as I only want to feed my animals the best.

Thanks!

Question: same cat question, he likes to swallow EVERYTHING?
This is the same cat with regards to the shoelace question. He is a boy kitten, about 6 months now. He likes to eat anything he can find. Hair on the floor (which causes him later to drag poop around the room and he really thinks I’m playing with him when I’m chasing after him, though I am clean and vacuum daily), pieces of the carpet he manages to pull out of the scratching post (he actually seems to do that on purpose… he’ll scratch, then gnaw to see if he got a new piece),… he likes to “deep throat”… any toys with long tails and he just tries to smallow the toy… he go straight for anything long and dangly. Hence the shoelace question too. I spray him with water, do the “NO” thing, threw the questionable “toys” away, hide my shoes, there’s nothing on my floor or bottom shelves and he can’t get in the trashcan… he’s constantly searching for things to eat. HE GETS FED ENOUGH FOOD. How can I get him to stop doing this??????
