I have a pure whight,pure breed Ragdoll and her eyes are glassey and she became extremly lazy all of the sudden.She’ll be 4yrs next month.I feed her top of the line food “Inova” both wet and dry.Do think i should be to worried? I apologize for my spelling.Thank you all.

Question: I know milk is not good for my cat, but what about other dairy products?
My husband gives our cat, Taz, shredded cheese or a couple Tbsp. of whole cow milk, several times a day.
Taz has turned into quite the little beggar now, but that is our fault. He is from a long line of farm cats & like his mom and uncle, LARGE & super fluffy.
Taz just turned 3 and his regular diet is dry food specifically for fur balls, since he is so fluffy. We change flavors with each bag so he doesn’t get bored.
What began as a reward for positive behavior, has gotten out of control & I worry about Taz’ health (and my husbands if he doesn’t quit this).
Taz is “fixed”. When we groom him daily, we make sure to feel his legs and back and belly, etc, since Taz spends most of his days outside & tends to get into scrapes. Taz doesn’t seem to be carrying fat. When he’s wet, Taz looks like a normal size cat – with his fur flat, he appears to lose 8 -10 lbs!
I know the rule of thumb is “NO HUMAN FOOD”.
What say you, cat lovers? I will take the wisdom of the community as THE word. Since both my husband & I are unemployed, no one gets to the vet or doctors (other than Taz for his shots, since he is an outdoor cat).

Cats are carnivores, so dairy is not good! The only human food I’ve given mine is tuna, and scraps of meat from time to time.

the rules are
1) the same letter will always represent the same word each time it appears.
2) each word is represented by only one letter.
3) the posistion of the letter is never the same as the word it represents in a given sentence. For example, “my” cannot be represented by R, Q, or S since it is in the same position as R, Q, S.
so confused with all this LOGIC. im an 8th grader studying for the SHSAT. everything else i understand but just this confuses me the MOST.

I’m taking the test next week… I get these questions… but see, I’m a bit selfish… if I tell you now, then I’ll have a less chance of getting into stuyvesant… I’ll tell you next year… because suppose we you get more than me just because I told you the answer… but *hint* it’s easy…

Question: Did you know there are dead dogs and cats in your dog’s food?
When my beloved kitty became sick with a brain tumor, I began doing research into why this happened and have been shocked beyond belief by what I’ve discovered goes into “pet” food. Not only is it diseased farm animals, road kill, cancerous tissue, cysts, puss, feces… but also euthanized dogs and cats including any flea collars, tags & plastic bags they were delivered in as well as the drugs used to kill them to the point vets are reporting it’s taking more and more of the drugs to “put them down” because they are becoming resistant to it from eating it all the time.
So why isn’t this all over the news if true? Just watch all those pet food commercials…it’s all about $ $ $

As you can see, some people refuse to believe this can be true. It is “old news” to some, and to you I apologize, but the great majority of people are unaware of it. I am on a mission to spread the word of this horrible truth and hopefully spare others the grief of losing their pet to the diseases and cancers this causes. Those of you who know the truth, please help spread the word to everyone you know who love their pets enough to care.

Two of those links don’t work, two of them are unreliable news sites.
It’s IMPOSSIBLE to put euthanized pets into pet food… the drug used to euthanize them would kill the animals eating them. They are disposed of in an incinerator.
In any case, this doesn’t affect me- I feed evo to my pets and I can see every ingredient clearly listed on the label- no “by products” or “meat meal” in that!

My 3 cats are on diet food “hills r/d” it’s $ 42/8.5lb bag, which is crazy!!! i need a good dry food that has less than 280kcal/cup

This is in the USA. I am curious what the laws are in other countries. No rendered pets? but what about “by-products” that can include euthanized “4D” farm animals (dead, diseased, disabled, dieing) and the drugs used to kill them, and anything deemed unfit for human consumption.
Amazing how many people think this is not possible…
I used to be a vet assistant too and this IS true and it IS legal. It called “meat and bone meal” or “animal digest” on the pet food label.

For those of you aware of this and feeding non by-product and meat and bone meal free foods to your pets, please do not be offended. I am trying the best I know how to inform people who don’t know about this or refuse to believe it can be happening.
Few people realize that the most common cat foods out there are little more than flavored corn filler and full of poisons that cause kidney failure, diabetes and cancer in our beloved pets.
Please help me spread the word!

er, this doesn’t apply to the UK by the way, just the USA 
For the rabid thumbsdowners, it does not apply to the UK, roadkill does not go into pet food. It goes to landill and euth’d pets are burned en masse. Farm animals tend to be shot not euth’d with overdose of barbiturates and if they are non human food grade they get put back into farm animal food. Farm animals that are euth’d with overdose are incinerated.
Really you Americans need to do your research properly, you just can’t bear to be wrong can you?
The best pet food standards are to be found in Sweden which is where there are much higher animal welfare standards for farm animals than here in the UK or in America,.
America is generally lagging way behind the rest of the western world with animal welfare laws and standards in general.
You won’t like that, but tough cheese babies, it’s true 
Question: Do you know anyone who buys and eats cat and/or dog food because he or she cannot afford “human food”?
I have an ongoing debate with a friend about this … he says that old people who don’t have enough to live on routinely buy cat (or dog) food to eat themselves. I say, sure there may be a few senile elderly folks out there who do this but it’s the exception to the rule and very uncommon. Taking a survey of sorts here. Thanks.

There are all kinds of resources out there for the elderly to get “people” food. I honestly hope this is not true though…. :’(
